Experiences That Shape a Profession

As a Father, Husband, Home Owner, and Businesses Owner I have experienced many of the life events that motivate my clients to step back and think about what matters most. I was a Northwestern client before I became a Northwestern Advisor. I mention this only because the guidance I received early on was so impactful that I was compelled to build my own business based on what I had experienced firsthand. Developing a process and leveraging the resources to manage my personal financial planning needs was unbelievably helpful, both when I started in my mid 20's, and as my life continues to evolve.

When my children were born, the risks in my life became very clear. My long-term strategy included much more than just myself. Children are a powerful motivator and so is a business. My business had very similar needs. Protecting the people who depend on me most, my family and my team, became a top priority. Following the exact same process I walk my clients through has given me the confidence to know that if anything happens to me (illness or injury) my family will be taken care of and my business will be sustainable.

Once the risks in my life had been addressed, I was empowered to focus on my long-term goals. For me, that was a comfortable retirement, financial stability today for my family, and providing options for my children's college education. By continuing to apply my process, I created a savings strategy that quantified exactly what I needed to do but was also nimble enough to adjust as my life changed. One baby, two babies, new home, etc...

Each person's ambitions, motivations, and situation are unique and I genuinely enjoy getting to know the people who are open to an honest conversation. I welcome the opportunity to learn more about you, your family, and your business.
